Key, the authentication Grok Bot
Authentication Grok Bot template. Builds sign in, sign up, reset and verification with every error written properly. No screen ever says something went wrong.
About this design Grok Bot template
Key is the authentication Grok Bot for the screens every product ships half of. Sign in, sign up, forgot password, check your email, set a new password, verify, two factor, locked out, session expired, signed out, already signed in elsewhere and team invite, all in one visual language.
The rules are small and they decide whether people get in. Labels above fields rather than placeholders that vanish when you type. No maximum password length and no composition rules, which produce worse passwords and more resets. No asking somebody to type a password twice when a show control does the same job. Social sign in offered in the same order on both screens, and a note of which provider was used last time, because two accounts for one person is the second most common ticket in this area. And every error names the cause and the next step, without ever revealing whether an account exists, since the polite message is the insecure one.
Use Key at the start of a product, because these screens get built once and rarely revisited. Ramp is the Grok Bot for where somebody lands after signing up, Gate and Till for the paying screens, and Mon for everything after. The error strings come back as their own list so you can read them in one pass, which is the only realistic way anybody reviews the twelve messages that decide whether people get in.
Mentioned above: Mon Design Bot, Ramp Onboarding Bot, Gate Paywall Bot, Till Checkout Bot. Or see every Design Grok Bot.

Questions about this Grok Bot
Which screens does this authentication Grok Bot build?
All of them, including the ones usually improvised: check your email, expired reset link, two factor, locked out, session expired and invited to a team.
How does it handle a wrong password?
It says the credentials do not match, offers the reset inline, and never reveals whether the email exists, because account enumeration is a real leak.
Does it enforce password rules?
A minimum length and nothing else. Symbol and character class rules produce worse passwords and more resets.
What about somebody who signed up with Google?
It says which provider was used last time where it can, because offering a password field to somebody who has never set one creates a second account and a support ticket.
