Social feed with stories

A social feed screen for iOS and Android apps, opening with a row of story avatars above the post list. Each post carries an author, a category and read time, and a line of engagement underneath. Use it for social apps, community products, and publishing tools with a following. Connect your feed API via Bolt, Lovable, or Replit.

About this app template

A feed with a story row at the top does two jobs on one screen: it shows what is happening now and what is worth reading later. The avatars sit above the fold where they invite a tap, and the posts underneath give each author room with a category and read time so people can judge before committing. Engagement sits at the bottom of each post where it informs without leading. Keep the story row to people the user actually follows, since a row padded with suggestions is the fastest way to make it look like an advert. Paste it into Bolt, Lovable, or Replit and connect it to your feed.

Common questions about this template

Should a social feed have a story row?

It works when there is truly something ephemeral to show. If the row fills with suggestions because the user follows nobody, it reads as an advert and people learn to skip that part of the screen.

What should each post in a feed show?

Author, a category, and how long it takes to read. Those three let someone decide whether to open it, which is the only decision the feed screen exists to support.

Where should engagement counts go?

Below the post, not beside the title. Putting them high turns the feed into a popularity ranking and buries newer posts that have not accumulated numbers yet.

How do I connect this to a real feed?

Paste it into Bolt, Lovable, or Replit and ask your AI to fetch posts from Supabase or your API and render each into a row, with the story avatars drawn from accounts the user follows.
