About this app template

A compose screen is a text field and a set of decisions, and most designs bury the decisions. This template keeps the writing area first with the author and the audience stated above it, so who will see this is answered before anything is typed. Attached media sits directly under the text as three real photographs rather than grey wells. Location and reply permissions sit in their own card with their current values on the right, which is enough to check them without opening anything. The media toolbar floats at the bottom within thumb reach, and post is a filled pill in the top right where it is expected. No dividers anywhere. Paste it into Bolt, Lovable, or Replit and ask your AI to upload the media and write the post.

A home screen carries the type scale, spacing, and card style a user sees more than any other surface, so it can set the standard for every screen after it. Copy the template, paste it into Claude Code, Replit, Lovable, ChatGPT Codex, Bolt, or Cursor, and send this alongside it.

Common questions about this template

How do I handle media uploads?

Ask your AI to wire the toolbar to the native picker and upload to Supabase storage or S3, then show the returned URLs in the three wells. Keep the wells sized as they are so the layout does not jump as images arrive.

Why is the audience shown under the author name?

Because posting to the wrong audience is the mistake people most regret, and it is almost always because the setting was somewhere else on the screen.

Can I add a character counter?

Yes, next to the post button, and only once somebody is close to the limit. A counter that is visible from the first character makes writing feel like a form.

What should the empty state be?

The placeholder should suggest what to write rather than repeat the word post. The template ships with a real example sentence so you can see how the screen reads when it is full.
